An image resizer that stays in the browser
The picture is read on your device. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no account or watermark.
Resizing here means resampling the pixels, not stretching them in a page layout. The new file really is the size you asked for. Making an image larger cannot recover detail that was never there. It only spreads the pixels.
Aspect ratio and the longest side
The lock is on by default. Change the width and the height follows the original proportions. Turn the lock off when you really do want a different shape. That crops nothing. It stretches.
1920, 1280, 1080 and 800 set the longest side and scale the other side to match. A portrait stays a portrait.
Which size to export
A website hero rarely needs more than 1920 on the long side. A chat preview is fine at 1280 or 800. Keep the original if you will print or edit further, and resize a copy.
HEIC from an iPhone can be resized in the same step. The decode stays on the device.
