The AudioAlter jobs, done without sending the file away
AudioAlter is a free online toolkit people open for slowed and reverb, a plain reverb, bass boost, pitch, tempo and a handful of utility tools. Its reverb page lists MP3, WAV, FLAC and OGG, with a 50 MB maximum.
AudioDrop is the private alternative for those listening edits. This page opens on the slowed and reverb recipe. The file is decoded in the browser. We do not set a 50 MB cap. The practical limit is your device's memory, which on a laptop is enough for long mixes, not just a single edit under 50 MB.

Slowed and reverb is the search, so it is the preset
The query that brings people from AudioAlter is almost always slowed and reverb. That is why this alternative does not open on a blank editor. Tape speed is 0.85× and the room is already audible. Nudge Space, or click Lo-fi or Nightcore if the brief changed.
Varispeed is what makes it sound like those edits: pitch falls as the song slows, the way a tape or a turntable would. Keep-pitch mode exists on the Speed tool when you want practice tempo instead of the effect.
What this alternative does not pretend to be
AudioAlter also does utility work this site does not: spectrogram images, a dedicated trimmer, noise reduction, and an 8D auto-pan. If you need those, this is the wrong replacement. If you need the listening edits and you do not want to hand the file to a 50 MB upload form, you are in the right place.
Their vocal remover, where they publish one, is a different method from ours. Centre cancellation is instant and imperfect. AudioDrop splits with HTDemucs and mutes the vocal stem, so bass and kick stay. Use the vocal remover for that job, not this effects page.
